Recent rainfall in Greece has saved part of the grain production, with a predicted yield of around 900,000 tons, despite a drought reducing yields by 100,000 tons. The new production is expected to hit the market earlier due to early sowing and mild winter, narrowing margins for those holding stocks. The price offered for durum wheat remains around 28 cents per kilo. Turkey's production is doubling the Greek harvest, with potential availability of 1.5 to 2 million tons on the European and North African markets, making it a key factor in the European durum wheat market.
