The Congress of the Republic approved in first voting, with 43 votes in favor, the new Agrarian Promotion Law, also known as "Chlimper Law 2.0". According to the president of the Agrarian Commission, Eduardo Castillo Rivas (Popular Force), the norm seeks to promote productive, competitive, and sustainable transformation of the agricultural sector, also promoting modern agriculture with social protection. The measure, supported by parliamentarians, aims to foster a modern agriculture that drives investment and employability, prioritizing the formalization of small agricultural producers, strengthening agricultural property, developing a conducive environment for agricultural activities, and integrating productive chains through associativity. Likewise, it seeks to increase the productive capacities of small farmers to facilitate their access to more profitable markets.
