Partnerships strengthen training, sustainable management, and technological development for fish, shrimp, and turtles in the state

Amapá aquaculture has gained new momentum with the agreements signed between Embrapa Amapá, Senar/AP, and the State Secretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Sepaq) during the VI Aquaculture Seminar, held last week. The institutions announced joint actions to qualify producers, expand the adoption of technologies, and strengthen the production of tambaqui, Amazon river shrimp, and tracajá. The agreement with Senar/AP provides for two years of activities aimed at training, installation of Technological Reference Units, and support for the sustainable production of Amazon river shrimp. The initiatives integrate with projects funded by Sudam and Fapeap, ensuring technical support from Embrapa researchers. For Senar/AP, access to the already validated technologies for shrimp farming should increase the state's productive potential.
