The Córdoba Grain Exchange (BCCBA) has increased its production estimates for wheat and chickpeas in the province following October's rainfall. Wheat production is now estimated at 2 million tons, a 33% increase from the previous campaign, but 22% lower than the historical average. Chickpea production, on the other hand, is estimated at 66 thousand tons, an 114% increase, with a higher yield than the previous campaign and the historical average. However, the late rains affected the crop's health, with issues such as red and black spider mites, green cereal aphids, and black mite observed. Despite these challenges, the outlook for chickpea production is positive, with a decrease in the proportion of surface in regular and poor condition.
