Feed prices in Egypt have seen a decrease with changes in global prices, local inflation, and exchange rates, affecting the weight of imported corn, sunflowers, soy, and local gluten. The decline in feed raw materials such as soybean meal, gluten, and corn inside Egypt is attributed to the lack of global quantities entering Egypt, inflation, increased global dollar value, and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The Head of the Poultry Wealth Division in the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Abdel Aziz El-Sayed, notes that the current feed prices are unprecedentedly high and that the production capacities in factories, which have been inactive for a long time, require more raw materials than are currently available on the global market.
