According to the weekly analysis released by the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea) on Monday (8), data from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade for November 2025 show that Mato Grosso shipped 2.77 million tons of corn during the period. The volume represents a drop of 30.92% compared to October and a decline of 9.60% compared to the same month of the previous year. According to the institute, "in the accumulated total of the 2024/25 season, from July to November, the state exported 16.46 million tons, a decrease of 13.08% compared to the same period in 2024." Imea points out that the reduction is linked to the increase in the global supply of the cereal, driven by the projected growth in production in countries that have been performing well in the current season.
