Russia: Corn exports from Primorsky Krai reached almost 60 million US dollars

Among buyers in the Asia-Pacific region, coastal corn has a well-deserved reputation as an environmentally friendly grain, and demand is growing every year. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Primorsky Territory, in 2023, about 220 thousand tons of corn were exported from Primorye to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. At the moment, Primorsky Krai is one of the five leading Russian regions engaged in the export of agricultural products. According to preliminary data from the Federal Customs Service, last year Primorsky corn was declared for export in the amount of 57.7 million US dollars. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Primorsky Territory noted that the region, in particular, supplied 128.8 thousand tons of corn to China, 24.5 thousand tons to Japan, 62.8 thousand tons to the Republic of Korea, and 1.2 thousand to Georgia thousand tons.
