In the week ending May 23, United States exporters reported significant sales of 810.1 thousand tons of corn from the 2023/24 harvest, experiencing an 11% decline from the previous week and a 2% decrease compared to the average of the past four weeks. The main consumers included Mexico, Spain, Japan, China, and Colombia, with Mexico being the largest buyer. Despite some cancellations and a reduction in shipments by 28% from the previous week and 17% on average, the total volume sold for the 2023/24 harvest met analysts' expectations, ranging between 650 thousand tons and 1.3 million tons. For the 2024/25 harvest, sales to Mexico and Honduras were also reported, totaling 187.8 thousand tons.
