Corteva's New Fungicide Florylpicoxamid (Pyridine Carboxamide) Officially Registered in the United States

Florylpicoxamid can effectively prevent and control various fungal diseases that cause crop damage and economic losses, providing farmers with a new tool for crop management and increasing food production. The product is expected to be a beneficial supplement to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs, which can be rotated with other fungicides to reduce the risk of pathogen resistance in crops and turf. IPM provides an effective and environmentally friendly pest control method by focusing on prevention and using pesticides only when necessary. The EPA supported the registration application for florylpicoxamid based on human health and ecological risk assessments and a biological evaluation under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The assessment results showed no human health risks when used according to label instructions.
