REPUBLICA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) is pushing for an increase in exports of Indonesia's five main commodities to Belarus in order to balance the trade balance between the two countries. The five commodities include crude palm oil (CPO), coffee, cocoa, coconut, and rubber. This was stated by Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman after receiving a visit from the Belarusian Foreign Minister, Maxim Ryzhenekov, in Jakarta, Monday (4/8/2025). According to the Minister, the meeting was positive. "We are promoting the export of strategic commodities such as CPO, coffee, cocoa, coconut, and rubber. This is important to improve our trade balance which is still in deficit," said Amran, quoted on Tuesday (5/8/2025). He explained that Indonesia is a major producer of CPO and the world's second-largest producer of coconut. With this potential, Belarus is considered to be a strategic partner and a promising new market for Indonesia's agricultural products. ...
