In 2024, Croatia experienced a decrease in the production of soft and hard wheat by 1.9%, totaling 806,000 tonnes, as reported by the national statistical office. Despite this, the country saw an increase in the production of winter and spring barley by 1.7% to 295,000 tonnes, sunflower production by 10.8% to 175,000 tonnes, maize by 5.1% to 2.093 million tonnes, and rapeseed by 23.3% to 53,000 tonnes. Conversely, sugar beet production fell by 5.6% to 472,000 tonnes.
