On December 2, 2021, cucumber prices in the South of Ukraine saw a significant increase of 22% in a single day, due to a decrease in offers from farmers attributed to shorter daylight hours and lower temperatures. This price hike is observed across various markets, with cucumber prices ranging from 50-60 UAH / kg and zucchini prices also increasing. Meanwhile, the prices for other vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and main vegetables for borscht remained relatively low. The article also highlights the varied pricing for different types of cabbages and the cost of pumpkins, garlic, and fruits like apples, pears, and grapes.
