Cultivating snails with Jeju citrus and kiwi byproducts... even as raw materials for cosmetics

Jeju Agricultural Cooperative (Chairman Ko Bong-ju) announced that it has entered into a "Business Cooperation Agreement for the Realization of an Eco-friendly Circular Economy" with the agricultural corporation Dal-ae Co., Ltd. (Representative Directors Son Kyung-min and Choi Kyu-wan) to repurpose by-products of citrus fruits and kiwi. Through this agreement, Jeju Agricultural Cooperative will supply by-products generated during the selection process of citrus fruits and kiwi to Dal-ae, which plans to utilize them for snail farming and process them into feed and cosmetic ingredients. Jeju Agricultural Cooperative expects that the by-products of citrus fruits and kiwi, which were mostly discarded or used as feed, will become a resource model for new utilization.
