Egypt: Cultivation of 20 thousand acres of sugar cane in Luxor and Qena using the modern seedling and irrigation system

The joint technical committee between the Ministries of Agriculture and Irrigation held a meeting to determine the areas of sugarcane to be planted using the seedlings and advanced irrigation system and modern agricultural practices, and to agree on the optimal design model and implementation mechanism. A statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture added that the meeting was attended by Dr. Alaa Ezzouz, Head of the Agricultural Guidance Sector and Head of the Committee, Dr. Hani Darwish, Head of the Land Improvement Authority, Dr. Hassan Shams El-Din, Director of the Field Irrigation Development Projects Unit, Dr. Gomaa Bakir, Head of the Technical Committee of the Field Irrigation Unit, and Dr. Hassan Moawad, Head of the Central Administration for Studies, Planning and Evaluation at the Authority, members of the committee.
