Currants in Ukraine have seen a significant price increase, reaching 70 hryvnias per kilogram in 2024, more than doubling from the previous year. This is due to unfavorable weather conditions leading to a decrease in harvest. Large currant farms with at least 20 hectares and varieties of different ripening periods are faring better in this volatile market. Currant prices in supermarkets have surpassed 100 hryvnias per kilogram.
