As a result of the “Fruit Fly Eradication Project IV” carried out by the National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) in 9 regions of Peru, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) confirmed that the Cusco region is already in the eradication stage of the fruit fly, with low population levels of the pest, which do not represent a risk for the regional fruit and vegetable sector.
