The Regional Management of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of Cusco delivered 420 sacks of decomposed manure, 180 sacks of organic fertilizer, 120 wheelbarrows, 240 lamps and mowers, as well as backpack sprayers for use by the producers of 12 communities in the province of Canas.
This effort aims to strengthen sustainable agriculture in the province of Canas, as the supplies, equipment, and tools will allow the installation of demonstration plots.
To date, this activity has enabled the installation of six hectares of plots, where potatoes, mashua, and other Andean tubers, along with ancestral grains, are flourishing under new techniques.
The technical team, as guardians of knowledge, has shared their wisdom in the preparation of compost, biol, and biocides, empowering farmers to keep the heritage of their ancestors alive and to cultivate the land with respect and efficiency.
