Dairy products are steadily rising in price in Ukraine: the expert told what will happen to prices in the future

In Ukraine, prices for dairy products are constantly rising. As Deputy Chairman of the "All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council" Denis Marchuk told UNIAN, this trend will continue in the future. According to his forecast, in the case of a stable supply of electricity in winter, the price increase may amount to another 10-15% by the end of the year. However, if farms are forced to use generators due to possible outages, the cost of milk production will increase dramatically, which could further affect prices for consumers. The expert added that the prices of dairy products have been increasing since the end of August this year. "The most important reason is the insufficient amount of edible, high-quality milk. Because today we have grown quite strongly in terms of exports to the European Union, due to the fact that milk production in Europe is decreasing," Marchuk said.
