However, butter and SMP prices were lower than the previous year. On the other hand, PMP, Edam cheese, and Gouda cheese prices increased significantly from the previous year. The Chicago Stock Exchange also reported a 1% to 2% increase in butter, skimmed milk powder, and whole milk powder prices over the past week, with substantial year-over-year price increases. Cheddar cheese prices notably rose by 8.5% during the week, being 19% higher than the previous month and 13% higher than the previous year.
