In the week of October 2nd, Poland saw a mix of changes in dairy product sales prices. Domestically, butter prices saw a notable increase, with butter in blocks selling for 6% more than the previous week and 5% more than the previous month. Packaged butter also saw a 1% increase from the previous week and a 3% increase from the previous month. However, skimmed milk powder prices decreased by 4% from the previous week but increased by 3% from the previous month. Whole milk powder prices increased by 6.5% from the previous week and 11% from the previous month.
Edam and Gouda cheese prices also saw changes, with Edam cheese increasing by 2% from the previous week and 5% from the previous month, while Gouda cheese decreased by 2% from the previous week but increased by 4% from the previous month.
On the global market, the GDT price index dropped by 0.3% at the October 15th auction, with nearly 39 thousand tons of dairy products sold. Butter, Cheddar cheese, skimmed milk powder, and whole milk powder prices all experienced fluctuations compared to previous quotes and prices from the same period last year.
