The Turkish Grain Authority (TMO) has set a minimum export price for new harvest durum wheat at $360 per ton FOB, which is approximately $330 in euros. This decision aims to strengthen the negotiating position of producers and end discussions about cheaper Turkish wheat. In Europe, durum wheat production is expected to decrease, with Greece experiencing a decrease of 11% in total harvest, while France and Italy are expected to see a decrease of 10.4% and 10.1% in durum wheat production, respectively. On the other hand, Spain's production is projected to more than double, reaching 798,000 tons. Other countries like Austria, Germany, Hungary, Malta, Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovakia are also expected to see changes in their durum wheat production.
