The State Fund for Agriculture (SFA) in Bulgaria has allocated a budget of BGN 3 million (approximately EUR 1.53 million) for de minimis aid to compensate processors for the cost of purchasing Bulgarian pink flowers, specifically the oil-bearing rose Damascene and Alba, for the harvest of 2021. The aid is designed to offset losses suffered between March 2020 and December 2021. Eligible processors must buy a minimum of 70% of the quantity purchased in 2020 and pay a minimum of BGN 2 (approximately EUR 1.06) per kilogram to farmers. The aid is BGN 0.30 (approximately EUR 0.15) per kilogram of oil rose flower processed. The application deadline is between August 2 and August 20, with payments expected by September 20. Each processor's aid will not exceed EUR 200,000 for three consecutive tax years.
