Decline in tomato exports in Turkiye

In the first 10 months of the year, Turkey exported more than 361 million dollars, approximately 155 million of which were made by companies that are members of the Western Mediterranean Exporters' Association (BAIB). According to information compiled by AA correspondent from the Turkish Exporters' Assembly data, 361 million 71 thousand 545 dollars worth of tomatoes were sold to 52 countries from Turkey between January 1 and October 31. Tomato exports, which were 421 million 866 thousand 268 dollars in the same period last year, decreased by 14.41 percent this year. In Antalya, which stands out in agriculture as well as tourism, tomato production is carried out in 169 thousand 225 decares of land in summer and winter.
