Deep sea fishing production in South Korea from January to May: 222,943 tons

In the first half of this year, deep-sea fishing production is showing a strong trend. This is due to an increase in catches of tuna and squid. According to the Korea Ocean Industry Association, domestic deep-sea fishing production from January to May of this year was 222,943 tons, a 38% increase from the same period last year (162,083 tons). This is a 15% increase compared to 2022.
