Deliveries of sheep and goat milk and the number of farmers who made them fell in July

Union of Unions of Farmers and Livestock Farmers (UdU), based on the latest data published by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA), warns of a new decline in the production of sheep and goat milk in July 2025, accompanied by a reduction in the number of livestock farmers who made deliveries. As for sheep milk during July 2025, 46.18 million liters were produced, a decrease of 7.16% compared to what was produced in July 2024. The accumulated total for the first seven months of the year is 315.34 million liters, 4.89% less than in 2024. Regarding the price during July, it was set at a national average of 1,198 €/l, which represents an increase of 0.028 €/l compared to the previous month and a 15.34% decrease from the price of July 2024. The number of livestock farmers who delivered milk in July was 2,477, 254 fewer than in the same month last year.
