The Japanese company, m.V.m. Shoji Co. Ltd from Kobe, has successfully initiated the import of Ukrainian garlic, specifically the 'Lyubasha' variety, breeded by Ivan Zakharchenko, to Japan. This initiative, despite the logistical challenges of the ongoing war, was launched two years ago to provide the highest quality garlic to Japanese consumers. The garlic was cultivated by Ukrainian farmers and is currently sold out in the Rakuten online store. There is interest in exploring the possibility of exporting other vegetables from Ukraine to Japan.
