The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) has begun distributing 526 tons of balanced feed for trout and paco producers in 34 districts of the Apurímac, Ene, and Mantaro River Valley (Vraem). This action benefits 642 aquaculture families from Cusco, Junín, Ayacucho, and Huancavelica, strengthening their production and consolidating safe economic alternatives in the face of drug trafficking pressure. With this boost, Devida projects that the aquaculture campaign will generate about 400 tons of fish meat by March 2026, which represents a direct contribution to food security and the economic strengthening of the valley.
