"Discarded nets and ropes reborn as fishing supplies" ··· Resource circulation activities catching attention

Fishermen voluntarily collected discarded fishing nets and ropes, and other marine waste, which are being reborn as fishing equipment in a resource recycling activity that is attracting attention. The Korea Maritime and Ocean University (President Kim Jun-seok) announced on the 18th that, as part of ESG management, they have launched the "On the Boat" project with social enterprise Small Action Co., Ltd., and the Anchor Organization for the Promotion of Fishing Village Livelihoods, Jukdo-Juk Island. The name "On the Boat" means "colleagues on the same boat," and it contains a pledge to contribute to the co-growth of companies, the preservation of the marine environment, and the enhancement of maritime safety through the recycling of marine waste.
