Discussion on introducing a quota system to regulate freshwater eel production.

The Korean Freshwater Eel Producers Association (President Shin Young-rae, hereinafter referred to as the Association) held a workshop on November 11 at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju Metropolitan City to seek solutions to domestic freshwater eel issues and directions for resource management. At the workshop, attended by about 120 freshwater eel producers along with related organizations such as the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Freshwater Eel Culture Cooperative, presentations and comprehensive discussions were held on medium and long-term solutions to domestic freshwater eel fry problems and resource management plans.
