Dmitry Patrushev, the Russian Minister of Agriculture, highlighted the growth of the dairy sector in Russia at the XV Congress of the National Union of Milk Producers. Over the past five years, raw milk production and dairy products like cream, cheese, ice cream, and dry milk have seen an increase, with over 900 dairy complexes introduced. The country has also expanded its dairy exports to 73 countries, including Pakistan, Hong Kong, and Afghanistan. The government has provided significant financial support to the industry, allocating 61 billion rubles last year. Additionally, a new subprogram under the Federal Scientific and Technical Program (FSTP) has been launched to improve livestock genetics and dairy cattle quality, with a funding of over 5 billion rubles until 2030.
