The US Department of Commerce has received a request from the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam to initiate anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations on frozen warmwater shrimp imported from Ecuador, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Vietnam is included in the list because its shrimp products have been subject to anti-dumping taxes from the US since 2004. The investigations would cover both frozen and fresh shrimp, with the subsidy investigation period set for 2022 and the damage investigation period from 2020 to the first half of 2023.
