The rice prices in the Mekong Delta region on December 4 remained stable with slight adjustments upwards for certain varieties. The prices of all types of rice in An Giang province, including OM 5451, IR 504, and OM 18, remained stable. In the steel market, domestic prices continued to increase due to the rising cost of imported raw materials, such as coal and iron ore, with no signs of stopping the upward trend.
Overall, rice prices in An Giang province were stable, with some warehouses willing to buy at higher prices while others purchased more slowly. In Tien Giang, the rice supply was limited, leading to stable prices compared to the previous week. Retail market prices for rice varied, with Soc rice at 19,000 VND/kg and Nang Hoa 9 rice at 19,500 VND/kg.
On the export market, Vietnam's rice offerings remained stable and slightly increased due to limited domestic supply and high domestic prices. Meanwhile, in the domestic steel market, prices continued to rise due to increased costs of raw materials. Hoa Phat Steel, Viet Y, and Viet Duc Steel were among the companies that increased prices for their steel products.
