As imported flowers continue to increase significantly each year, voices are rising that quarantine measures must be strengthened and improved to prevent foreign pests and protect domestic flower farms. A National Assembly forum on 'Efficient Imported Flower Quarantine' hosted by Assemblyman Im Ho-seon (Democratic Party, Jeungpyeong·Jincheon·Eumseong) and organized by the Korea Flower Producers Cooperative Council was held on the 23rd at the National Assembly Member's Conference Room. At the forum, flower producers, researchers, and related government officials from across the country gathered to review the current state of flower imports and discuss improvement measures.
