The Southeastern Anatolia Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association reported a significant increase in dried fruit exports for the January-September period of 2024, with a 13.4% increase in quantity and 28.4% increase in value, totaling $241 million. The exports were primarily driven by dried apricots and pistachios, which accounted for 81% of the region's total exports, valued at $100 million and $95 million, respectively. The European Union was the primary market for these exports, with a 24.8% increase compared to the previous year. Other significant markets included American and Middle Eastern countries. The association also participated in the World Food Moscow Fair in September to boost their global market presence.
