The yield of Siirt's famous Zivzik pomegranate has halved due to drought. The sale of Zivzik pomegranates, which are grown in some villages of Şirvan and Pervari districts, continues. Named after the Dişlinar (Zivzik) village in Şirvan, these pomegranates, known for their thin skin, large red grains, and unique aroma, have completed their harvest. After the harvest, the pomegranates are sold both in the city and sent to Istanbul, Bursa, Samsun, and surrounding provinces. Fruit seller Hacı Salten stated that all pomegranates in Siirt are the same, but the ones from the Pervari region are preferred because they are juicier.
