The drier weather this week for soybean areas in Southern Brazil, especially in Rio Grande do Sul, has caught the attention of the sector, AgRural consultancy pointed out in its weekly report. AgRural also indicated that the harvest in the country had reached 10% of the area by last Thursday, a percentage close to that recorded at the same time last year. Compared to the previous week, the harvested area doubled. Machines are already in the field in virtually all producing states, said AgRural. "With no major setbacks in the harvest so far, what has entered the focus was the combination of hot and dry weather in areas of the South of the country and Mato Grosso do Sul," the report pointed out.
