A shortage of Peruvian mangoes has led to increased demand for Palmer mangoes from Brazil, according to Manfred van der Vlag from Sweet Fruits. The company is focusing on the year-round supply of the Palmer variety from Brazil, despite some weather conditions not being fully favorable. The market currently has a notable shortage of small-sized mangoes, with prices ranging between 8.50 and 10.50 euros per kilogram. While there is a limited supply of mangoes in the market, a slight increase in supply is expected in the coming weeks, with normal supply and volumes expected for the new Brazilian season.
