Due to the hostilities, the share of Ukrainian breeding in the list of available pumpkin varieties for cultivation is falling. Research stations that were engaged in this in Donetsk and Hola Prystan are now occupied and virtually destroyed. And only two organizations remain in the seed producers' registry: the private company "Svityaz" in Lviv and the Dnipropetrovsk research station. The latest pumpkin varieties of the seed direction created in Ukraine are Ukrainian Bagatoplidny, Lel, Valok, Sviteń, Narodny, and table varieties — Slavuta, Zhdana, Yuvilein, Dolia, and Balzam.
