In 2022, Vietnam witnessed a significant surge in the export of durians and bananas, with durian exports reaching US$ 421 million, a 136.8% increase from 2021, and banana exports amounting to 311 million USD, a 34.5% increase. This growth is primarily due to official licensing to export to the Chinese market. Despite this growth, dragon fruit exports saw a sharp decrease of 38.7% to 633 million USD. Consequently, durians became the country's second-most-exported fruit, following dragon fruit, and bananas became the third-largest export fruit.
