The National Institute of Animal Products Quality Evaluation in South Korea has launched the 'Overseas Korean Beef Labeling Program' to enhance the transparency and global competitiveness of its beef exports. The program allows users to scan a QR code on the label to access detailed information about the beef's production and distribution history, including grade and intramuscular fat content. The Livestock Products Quality Evaluation Service has already distributed this program to four distributors in Hong Kong and plans to translate it into English to expand its reach to other countries. The service also showcased the program at the Hong Kong Korean Beef Day event, receiving positive feedback from local beef importers.
