Turkiye: Edirne to become a breeding heifer production center

Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer stated that they have started working to make Edirne the breeding heifer production center of Turkey. In his speech at the Rice Season Evaluation and Water Management Meeting held at the İpsala Commodity Exchange, Sezer said that they have been working for approximately 6 months to make Edirne a pilot province in terms of breeding heifer production. Sezer stated that the heifer need in the country will be met with the project, and that the project was adopted by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, and that Ziraat Bank will provide support in terms of financing.
