In June, the Serbian fruit and vegetable market experienced significant changes, with a notable increase in carrot imports and a earlier start to tomato exports, leading to record exports for the month. However, the high carrot import led to a decrease in exports as demand in the local market was high. The import of potatoes to Serbia also decreased significantly in June, but the export of early onions saw a decrease in quality and volume compared to previous years. A new crop rotation began earlier in local farms, resulting in the export of almost 260 tons of tomatoes in June. Additionally, a record 3195 tons of cucumbers were exported at the end of June, and there was an increase in the import of melons and gourds due to growing demand, while the import of strawberries decreased as local farms had large quantities. Finally, the export of blueberries in June continued to increase, reaching 1,675 tons, which is almost 10% more than the previous year.
