[Korean Farmers' Newspaper, Reporter Gu Jeong-min] Former chairman Yu Je-gwan, who served as the chairman of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Association of the Korean Farmers' Association (Gochang County), continued his sharing with neighbors and local talents this year. Chairman Yu, a professional farmer who grows tomatoes and eco-friendly rice in Seoktan Village, Gochang Town, Gochang County, Jeonbuk, has consistently practiced donating scholarships and white rice for over 20 years, since 2002, to support the vulnerable in the region. Recently, Chairman Yu, along with his children and sons-in-law, visited the county office and donated 100 bags of white rice (worth 5.2 million won) and 6 million won in scholarships to nurture local talents. This donation, prepared with the combined intentions of the family, is aimed at supporting neighbors in need.
