The work conducted in the Palotina region by researcher Alfredo Albrecht, from UFPR, indicated that terbuthylazine and mesotrione, combined in a ready-made formulation, act effectively on invaders such as goosegrass, bittergrass, blackjack, ragweed, and jute mallow. The evaluations involved summer corn and second crop. In the tests, the control of these plants reached levels between 90% and 100%, while standard treatments with herbicides widely used in the country showed a very low performance in the face of the resistance observed in some species.
