The Egyptian government has approved the import of bone-in beef from Brazil, a significant development for Brazilian agribusiness that already enjoys a strong presence in Egypt. In 2023, Brazil's agricultural exports to Egypt exceeded US$ 1.73 billion, with animal protein sales alone reaching over US$ 384 million. In the first half of 2024, exports to Egypt surpassed US$ 1.31 billion. This new authorization is part of Brazil's strategy to expand its global beef export markets, with a total of 91 market openings in 2024 and 169 openings in 56 countries since the year began.
