On Friday, 29th, El Salvador has officially approved the import of Brazilian chicken meat and eggs, marking a significant advancement in trade relations between the two nations and a major win for Brazil's agribusiness sector. This decision opens up El Salvador as the third new international market for Brazil in 2023, following earlier approvals for gelatin and collagen exports. With agricultural exports to El Salvador already valued at around US$137 million in 2023, primarily from cereals and forestry products, this latest development signifies the 26th market opening for Brazilian agribusiness across 18 countries in 2024, highlighting Brazil's growing influence in global agricultural trade.
