The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) has highlighted the significance of El Salvador opening its market to Brazilian poultry and egg producers, marking a pivotal step towards expanding their footprint in Central American markets. This move is seen as an acknowledgment of the high quality and health standards of Brazilian animal products. With El Salvador importing substantial quantities of chicken meat and eggs annually, primarily from the United States and Guatemala, this agreement positions Brazil as a competitive supplier to a country with a population of 6.4 million. Furthermore, this deal with El Salvador, the first Central American nation to sign a health certificate with Brazil, is anticipated to pave the way for access to additional markets in the region, enhancing the export potential for Brazilian producers, as per ABPA officials.
