[Agricultural, Fisheries and Livestock Products Newspaper=Reporter Park Yu-shin] South Korea has been elected as the chair of the Processed and Vegetable Products Division of the Codex Committee on Food Standards, and cabbage has been added to the global standards, further elevating the international status of the traditional agricultural and fishery food industry. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Drug Safety, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and the Korea Food Research Institute jointly announced that they achieved major results in solidifying the international standing of South Korea's traditional agricultural and fishery foods at the 48th Codex Committee General Assembly held in Rome, Italy, from October 10 to 14. At this General Assembly, South Korea was elected as the chair of the Processed and Vegetable Products Division Committee (CCPFV).
