Russia: Emergency declared in Voronezh region due to drought

The Voronezh Region in Russia has declared a state of emergency due to a severe drought, with the region's governor, Alexander Gusev, signing the decree. The emergency declaration is a result of both atmospheric and soil drought conditions. This declaration is an extension of an earlier one made in May, which was due to frost damage to key crops such as winter wheat, barley, corn, peas, sunflower, soybeans, and mustard.
