Saudi Arabia: 856.4 thousand heads of livestock were released to meet the demand during the 1445 Hajj season

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture cleared 856,438 heads of live livestock (sheep, cows, camels) through the plant and animal quarry in the Jeddah Islamic Port and Al-Hadithah during the period from 1 to 20 Dhul-Qi’dah 1445, as part of its preparations to meet the demand during this year’s Hajj season. The Ministry explained that the temporary committee that was formed from the relevant ministries and authorities is constantly following up on all procedures to provide a sufficient number of healthy and safe live livestock during this year’s Hajj season, in addition to daily monitoring of the progress of work in the animal and plant quarries by specialists in quarry management, and continuous coordination with the authorities.
